Named after the theatre's generous benefactor, George Champlin Hall is a handicap accessible and large space for your next event. With a full kitchen, tables, chairs and room to move please consider Champlin Hall for your next shower, reunion, card party, birthday parties, craft show and more.

  • We would love to work with you to plan the perfect event including a private showing of the current movie or gaming on the big screen. We have great local vendors to fill all your needs and are dedicated to helping make Champlin Hall the perfect venue for you.

    Rental

    Champlin Hall is located in the basement of the Cresco Theatre Building. Handicap accessible via chair lift. Rental for the hall for a one day event is $50.00. Events must be paid for prior to receiving a key at City Hall. A $50.00 deposit is due at the time of reservation and payable to City of Cresco. Contact City Hall at 563-547-3101 to make your reservation.

    Bring your own utensils, coffee pot, dishes, silverware and towels. There are eleven 7 ft rectangle tables and chair provided. Seating space is approximately 100 people. Kitchen provides sink, refrigerator, gas stove and plenty of counter space.

    Champlin Hall

    The Theatre Commission is in the process of remodeling Champlin Hall. The kitchen has remodel has been completed removing the hood from when the hall was used as the senior meal site and make the kitchen a bit smaller and more functional. Working around rentals of the basement, there are plans to clean and refinish the floor, repair and paint the ceiling and paint the walls. After the painting and floors are done we will be hanging a flat panel tv donated by the City of Cresco.
